Nando Kallweit

Personal motto
It‘s the figurative human that always stands in the focus at Nando Kallweit.

“Embossed by graceful aesthetics and graceful appeal the sculptures and reliefs inevitably come in.“ These introductory words approach the artist with the attempt to describe his work as versatile and amazingly impressive.

In 1972 Nando Kallweit was born in Schwerin. In 2001 he left the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck as a graduated civil engineer. From 2004, the art has prevailed and a personal style made its way in his work as a freelance sculptor. A station in his life was a working trip to the sculptors’ stronghold Carrara in 2007. One year later, he was awarded with the 1st prize at the International Sculptors’ Symposium in Mölln. Distinctive work stays in Milan and in Estonia followed as well as other awards celebrating his prestigious works of art. Since 2009 the artist has been a member of the art association “Kunst–Wasser–Werk“ (Schwerin).

The materials used by the artist are wood, predominantly oak blackened, and timelessly impressive bronze. Inspiring and thus attracting the eye of the viewers by design elements in the tension between emotional robustness and surprising love for fine details. There are always new variations to open an attentive consideration for a sustainably unmistakable awareness of the impression.
